The Cenari were originally thought to be a terrorist group seeking to overthrow the Imperial Consortium. It was later discovered to be a collection of nanite body-snatchers that was abducting people to fulfill it's objectives. The nanites were bent on destroying their creators, the alien Nanker race, which originally inhabited the space currently inhabited by the United Galactic Republic. This put the Cenari on a collision coarse with Race Allard and the United Republic Space Forces.
